Playing with lights, bodies and organic matter from my garden.
Heads are filled with flowers, seed heads and found objects to create pulsing and multidimensional images. The stark quality of white on black brings to mind x-ray images which in contrast to these images reduce our complex bodies to their bare bones.
In this series of work the boundaries of interior and exterior; self and other are removed, We share many of the same genes as a banana, we are in fact composed of much the same matter as other animal and plant forms. Misled by the thin barrier of skin that separates us physically we lose sight of our inter-connectedness. By integrating natural forms and found objects with the human form I make joyful statements of the interdependency of all things.
